Slip-cast from a mold of my own making and fired to cone 6, Ring no.14 - just like its sibling Ring No.13 - was brushed with light magma glaze, giving its surface a gently rough texture that feels natural and unrefined. It reminisces the stilness of vast landscapes like the desert.
Continuum is a collection that comes from an exercise of form, wholeness, repetition. The shape is intentional and repeated, but no two pieces are ever the same. The choice of glazes, application, and the surface they meet, carry the memory of the individual process they went through and the time spent with them.
