Slip-cast from a mold of my own making, sprayed with Strawberry glaze and fired to cone 6, Ring no.9 was born out of a playful experiment. Traccia, or “trace”, has its top cut off, leaving a subtle mark of interruption whiile preserving the endless flow of the continuum ring. It is a study of how sudden changes leave their traces without breaking the whole.
Continuum is a collection that comes from an exercise of form, wholeness, repetition. The shape is intentional and repeated, but no two pieces are ever the same. The choice of glazes, application, and the surface they meet, carry the memory of the individual process they went through and the time spent with them.
